Printing.com, Cork is looking for a junior graphic designer to quickly learn to manage and grow the Print side of our growing organisation. If you are passionate about branding, design, visual communication and creativity and want to learn what it takes to become a professional graphic designer handling the entire process of design briefs from start to finish, then this is the internship and job for you. The chosen candidate will be thrown in the deep end of handling design projects from pencil to print. They will handle clients, design briefing, conception, creation and execution of graphic design print projects on a daily basis. Fast learning will be needed and the ability to handle tight deadlines, clients and stressful situations.

Our expertise is in design we place ON our print and focus on the design and marketing element of print marketing rather than simply the print itself. The chosen candidate will have the chance to learn about every element of design and growing business’ from planning long-term, fully integrated digital marketing strategies from social media planning to large-scale online campaigns, concept development, graphic design and brand management.
The position is for a 3-month internship with a view to a full-time position.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm.
The ideal candidate will be highly capable, energetic, enthusiastic, detailed and aesthetically focused and excited by the prospect of driving this company forward. We expect them to be proactive rather than reactive and take pride in what they are creating.
There will be no salary available for this position however it represents a fantastic opportunity to gain extensive on the ground experience in design and becoming a fundamental part of an ambitious company with large, long-term plans.
A recognised qualification in design (diploma/degree).
Some previous commercial experience (not essential but a plus).
Excellent knowledge of Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).
Have a great eye and a great understanding of branding and design – type, interface, and layouts.
Excellent ability to work and collaborate as part of a growing team.
Ability to manage numerous projects and clients at the same time.
Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure and within a time restraint.
Meticulous attention to detail and quality.
Experience in writing (not essential but a plus).
